This year, Beast of a Feast 2025 wasn’t just about great food, unforgettable beats, and an epic summer afternoon; it was also about finding something unexpected: a free pair of sunnies, thanks to Neufound Eyewear.

We joined the vibrant energy of Beast of a Feast with a fun twist: our Missing Sunnies campaign. Festival-goers stumbled upon sunglasses scattered across the venue; left on tables, in trees, even dropped on the floor; and yes, they were actually meant to be found. No strings. No catch. Just a moment of fun and something really cool to keep.

In a world of branded freebies and forgettable promo stands, we wanted to do something that felt a little different. The Missing Sunnies experience was designed a little as an analog-style treasure hunt. Each pair of Neufound sunglasses was "accidentally" left behind, waiting to be claimed by the curious, the observant, and the lucky.

And it didn’t only create a mini buzz, it was fun to put together and witness each of the lucky winners stumble upon their new sunglasses; over the course of the afternoon, more than 50 pairs were found, tried on, and taken home with their new stoked owner. Some were stumbled upon during a drink queue, others right before sunset at the main stage and it was such a great feeling to see each lucky new owner’s ….

Neufound eyewear is all about creating memorable moments; it’s about wild experiences and fun adventures, but also sustainable fashion and moments of connection. and this felt like the perfect festival to bring that to life - a New Zealand sunglasses brand from the BOP doing something fun at a Mount Maunganui based music and food festival - it made sense to support a local initiative. We also believe marketing should feel less like an ad and more like a shared experience. and it was all about small surprises, organic moments, and playful experience.

Plus, sunglasses are essential festival gear. Why not make getting them fun?
